Sick In Bed

I took the day off work today and am sick in bed. If you'd like a visual, I look EXACTLY like the picture above. Don't I look HORRIBLE?!?

Anywhore, the doctor gave me an antibiotic to knock the green gunk out of my system ... I just hope it starts working soon.

So, again, posting will be light today (and maybe tomorrow), until I can get my act together.

No Project Runway Recap

There will be no Project Runway recap today for the following reasons:

1. I have to ton of "real" work to get done. And since business is way down at my place of employment, I have to work that much harder.
2. I have a cold - and am currently hawking up florescent green things.
3. I have my follow-up doctor's appointment today, which scares me to death.
4. I'M HONGRAY!! As a result of my doctor's appointment, I am not allowed to eat today (something about wanting to check my cholesterol). Those of you who know me know that I don't like to go for more than 2 hours without eating - let alone an entire day.
5. The dog ate my homework. Or something.

Depending upon how I feel, I may or may not write my recap tomorrow. However, I'm tending against it, since pretty much everyone hates this season and many of you have lost interest. Stay tuned...

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaacccckkk!!!!!!

I now have have my Internet connection back, and 20 blocks of International Food Festival outside my door. Life is good...

Time-Warner Cable is now scheduled to come tomorrow to check my home internet connection (my roommate and I couldn't meet them today) - so I'm praying to be back up-and-running by tomorrow afternoon. I'm just worried the technician won't be able to find parking (9th Avenue will be closed for the Food Festival) and will simply blow me off. If so, I plan on using "The Nuclear Option", like I did before.

In other news, my recap of The Fashion Show may be delayed due to the tons of work that has to get done before I start my weekend. Stay tuned.

Taking Saturdays Off...

Until further notice, I will be taking Saturdays off from blogging. This SHOULD give me the opportunity to get out of my apartment, get things done, and maybe even exercise. I doubt any of that will actually happen, but a girl can dream.

I have been blogging seven days a week for almost 2 years, and it's about time I cut back a little. So unless there is some breaking news on Saturday involving a shirtless Franky G, I will be back on Sunday.

M.M.A.S.M. Recap Will Be Delayed...

Based on your feedback from yesterday, ya'll want me to keep recapping Make Me A Supermodel. And since I always try to keep my Dust Bunnies happy, I will continue recapping as instructed.

However, today's recap will be delayed. I have 105 High School Students (and their chaperones) coming to the restaurant for dinner - and I must make sure it doesn't end up looking like this...

And for those of you who think I lead some kind of glamorous life here in Manhattan, I'd just like to say: SUCK IT.

Regarding Tags, Memes, and Awards...

My darling Dust Bunnies, I love you all like a Giant Arby’s Roast Beef sandwich with Swiss cheese and Horsey sauce. You KNOW I do. However, I need to take a stand against memes, tags, awards, and similar chain-letteresque behavior.

I’ll be honest – I HATE GETTING TAGGED, AWARDED, ETC. I know many of you have tagged me, and I don’t hold it against you. But while I’m being honest, I’ll tell you that if I DID respond in the past, it was out of loyalty to you – and because I didn’t want to disappoint you. But from now on if you tag me, send me an award, or send me a “Name three things we didn’t know about your Gerbil” questionnaire, I will not be able to respond.

My reasons for this are many. First of all, I try and plan out my blog posts over the weekend for the upcoming week – and I try to vary my content. When I get tagged it throws off my schedule.

Secondly, since I do not own a computer and do most of my blogging from my office computer, I don’t have time to do extra posting. I walk a constant tightrope between working and blogging – and anything that upsets that balance is not a good thing.

Thirdly, I try and promote all of your blogs as best I can. I have my Dust Bunny Blogroll that features many of you. I also provide links to your blogs anytime I might mention one of you. In addition, if you ever have anything you would like to promote, please email me and I’ll see what I can do.

I know I sound grumpy and unappreciative – and I’m sorry for that. I totally love the fact that you want to recognize my blog for being something special. I just don’t have the time to pass those accolades onto the next blogger. And I’m sure he or she will thank me eventually…

I'm Running Behind...

I wasn't at work yesterday and had absolutely no computer access - so I'm running a little behind schedule. I hope to have my Project Runway recap finished by this afternoon, and my Shear Genius recap tomorrow.
