International DustBunny Relations

Tonight I have the pleasure of meeting another DustBunny blogger - the fabulous JS from Etalons et Citations. JS is from France - so this will be my first International Dust Bunny meeting! (Unless you count Canada, which is about as international as Montana).

Anywhore, our meeting will take place tonight at the General Assembly of the BunnyNation - "The Urges" at 10 pm. Feel free to join us if you're in the neighborhood!

"The Urges" Is My Friend!!

My favorite NYC bar/lounge/"modern dance" (cough, cough) venue - The Urge Lounge - recently friended me on Facebook. Now if I could just convince someone to open an Arby's in Astoria, my life would be complete.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the most fabulous bar in NYC, check out a couple of my previous posts regarding "The Urges" HEREHERE and HERE.

And if YOU would like to be their friend, do it HERE.

This Week's Shenanigans

Quick update about this week's blogging schedule:
  • A big event at work will keep me from recapping both the season finale of The Fashion Show (airing tonight) as well as this week's episode of Top Chef All Stars. In fact, I probably won't even be able to watch them this week - let alone recap. UPDATE: There will NOT be a new episode of Top Chef All Stars this week - just repeats (thanks All Top Chef!).
  • Speaking of not watching, I am without LOGO at my new apartment so I was unable to see the season premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race last night (below) - which truly devastates me. And YES, I know I can watch it online, but with the work stuff I might not have the chance.

  • Starting on Friday I'll have a houseguest - DustBunny Kailyn - and on Saturday the Mistress Maddie will be joining us (if she can get over her flu). Needless to say, a trip to The Urge Lounge (AKA "The Urges") is planned so we can support the fine art of the dance and the artistes who practice it. As long as I can scrape up a few crisp dollar bills...

Anywhore, blogging will be hit or miss all week - but I'll definitely try to post a couple times each day.

Explosives Found Near "The Urges" !

Eight blocks of plastic C-4 explosives were found in the Marble Hill Cemetery (above) yesterday - along with a bizarre note that was signed by "Jesus". The historic cemetery is located in the East Village - right around the corner from my favorite "modern dance" venue - the Urge Lounge (AKA "The Urges").

Why is Jeebus trying to blow up my favorite go-go bar???

Does Mistress Maddie Know About This?

For you new DustBunnies, Maddie is a BLOGGER and one of my dearest friends - who happens to refer to "her" husband as "The Boy Toy". She better hold onto the Boy Toy she has now, because she's not going to be able to run to McDonald's and pick up another one anytime soon - judging by this sign.

Speaking of Maddie, we are scheduled to meet up next weekend for a trip to the Bronx Zoo, followed by a night on the town (AKA bellying up to the bar at "The Urges"). And I cannot wait.

Maddie and I have been trying to go to the Zoo for YEARS, but every time she comes up we end up getting too drunk to make it out of the apartment before 2pm the next afternoon. Thus missing out on the Lions and Tigers and Bears. Oh my.

This time we have a plan. Maddie will drive to NYC on Saturday MORNING (we won't be hanging out on Friday night), and we'll go straight to the Bronz Zoo. THEN we'll go out and get our drink on.

What could POSSIBLY go wrong with such a foolproof plan???

Light Posting Over the Next 24 Hours ...

... for obvious reasons.

Tonight: I Support "The Arts"

The actions of each dancer were scrutinized with great care and any little mistake noted and remembered. The strain upon a dancer was consequently so great that when a fine dancer died soon after a feast it was said, "The peoples' looks have killed him."

... Merle Colby, A Guide to Alaska: Last American Frontier (1941). On Tlingit feasts.

Yes BunnyNation, tonight you can find me belatedly celebrating my birfday by supporting the local "dance community" HERE.  If you would like to see a messy Blogger making a fool of himself, show up tonight after midnight and watch the magic happen.

Happy Monday!

The subway was a lot less crowded than usual today - I guess a lot of people are taking vacation during this last week before Labor Day.  Folks need to wear their summer white outfits one more time before putting them away for the fall/winter...

I don't have much on the agenda this week, but on Friday night I'll be headed to the Urge Lounge (AKA "The Urges" - below) for a belated birfday celebration....

If anyone would like to see their favorite Blogger (that would be ME, right???) in a state of utter stupidity while he drunkenly molests the "talent", then head over to The Urges at about 11:30 pm this Friday night...

FINAL NOTE: I swear to JEEBUS, Hurricane Earl better not even THINK about screwing up my weekend...
