There's tons of cleaning to do around here, due to the fact that my dear OLD friend The Mistress Maddie will be visiting this weekend...

Let's just hope this time she finds a better place to hide her booze while we're out on the town!

This Week's Shenanigans

Quick update about this week's blogging schedule:

• A big event at work will keep me from recapping both the season finale of The Fashion Show (airing tonight) as well as this week's episode of Top Chef All Stars. In fact, I probably won't even be able to watch them this week - let alone recap. UPDATE: There will NOT be a new episode of Top Chef All Stars this week - just repeats (thanks All Top Chef!).
• Speaking of not watching, I am without LOGO at my new apartment so I was unable to see the season premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race last night (below) - which truly devastates me. And YES, I know I can watch it online, but with the work stuff I might not have the chance.

• Starting on Friday I'll have a houseguest - DustBunny Kailyn - and on Saturday the Mistress Maddie will be joining us (if she can get over her flu). Needless to say, a trip to The Urge Lounge (AKA "The Urges") is planned so we can support the fine art of the dance and the artistes who practice it. As long as I can scrape up a few crisp dollar bills...

Anywhore, blogging will be hit or miss all week - but I'll definitely try to post a couple times each day.

Yes, my dear sister Maddie has a drinking problem - especially during the holidays. Specifically, her problem is that she can't get the gin down her thirsty gullet fast enough. Headed To The City Of Brotherly Love

I'll be spending the day in Philadelphia ... hanging out with Maddie and the Boy Toy (who live in the Philly suburbs) and Joy - who is visiting from Tennessee.

I am so looking forward to actually seeing "Auntie Flame" (Joy) face-to-face. Although I am fighting a cold (again) ... so I plan on packing DayQuil, NyQuil, AfternoonQuil, and everything else I can find at Rite Aid. I am determined not to let this cold ruin my day.

Posting will be light this entire weekend- and comment moderation will probably be delayed until I return home tonight.

Happy Birthday Maddie

The Mistress Maddie hits the big "FOUR - O" today! Happy Birthday, darling.

Exhausted

Posting will be light this week (and nonexistant over the weekend) for the following reasons:

I'm tired.

"The Girls" (The Mistress Maddie and Miss Ginger Grant) will be in NYC this weekend - so I need to get my place looking more like a Manhattan apartment and less like a Crack Den in Newark.

My birthday is Wednesday - and the present I'm giving myself is "taking it easy".

I have a brand new kitty who thinks 2:30 AM is the PERFECT time to play. And I have a 12-year old kitty who would like to eat the new kitty for breakfast.

I need to rest-up for this weekend's festivities. I'm sure Maddie and Ginger will try to drag me (kicking and screaming, natch) to "The Urges" and force me to fondle go-go boys and drink Bacardi Limon. Bitches.

CA Wine Country - RED ALERT!

Homeland Security has raised the "Drunken Terrorist Threat Level" to RED/SEVERE for California's Wine Country. This is due to a visit by drunk bitches Maddie, the Boy Toy, and Kailyn this afternoon. And GET THIS - KAILYN is driving!! For any of you who attended Drunken Dust Bunny Weekend, you know just how scary that is.

So, if you are in or around California Wine Country - TAKE COVER! Be on the lookout for disheveled bitches with red wine stains on their faces and clothing. THEY ARE DRUNK AND DANGEROUS!!


I imagine their visit will end up exactly like Patsy and Edina's visit to French wine country in Absolutely Fabulous...

UPDATE: I just heard from them a little while ago - they are still alive and (relatively) sober... for now. They also sent me this picture...

Presents From Kailyn!

I am NOT a Monday person. I even postpone going to bed on Sunday night because I know when I'll wake up it'll be Monday morning and time to go to work.

But this week started off a little differently. Waiting for me on my desk on Monday morning was a care package from my girl Kailyn, who lives in the Bay Area. In the box she included a very sweet note, some organic Strawberry Jam, and artist-produced notecards from her recent trip to Filoli (the "Dynasty Mansion"). I was delighted to get a little breath of fresh California air on a dreary NYC Monday morning. Thanks, K!

These items were procured during her recent travels, which Kailyn blogs about (among other things) at Kailyn's Creations - take a look when you get a chance. I also recommend that you check back in a couple of weeks when The Mistress Maddie makes her first visit to Kailyn and the San Francisco area. And don't worry, if there are any earthquakes during that time, it's probably just a drunken Maddie dropping her extra-large glass of Gin!

Just got back from a fabulous July 4th party in East Brunswick, New Jersey and I'm exhausted. Tonight's fireworks should be viewable from the roof of my building but I'm not sure I can stay awake...

Voices From The Past

My good friend and sister, The Mistress Maddie (above), read my POST yesterday about the Black Party - and remembered a letter I had written back in 1993. And it just so happened that Maddie still had that damn letter!


The first line that you can read is "Oh well, who needs love?". Oy ... some things never change. See Maddie's blast-from-the-past post HERE.

Here is the story of how I met Maddie. I had dated a guy in Harrisburg for a while, but after a few weeks we decided just to be friends.

This guy happened to have a "thing" for young-looking blond guys (like me at the time). So after dating myself and pretty much all the youngish gay blonds in Central Pennsylvania, he found the lovely and talented Maddie - on a street called "State" (sorry, inside joke). One night he brought Maddie around to hang out with the rest of our gang.


Since I was the Head Blond Bitch In Charge of our crew, I was a little wary about this new Twinkie in our inner circle. But Maddie and I became instantly close - and I started referring to Maddie as my "younger sister". A few months after we met I moved to NYC - but Maddie and I remained friends and grew even closer over the years.

And I still wouldn't trade that dirty Whore for all the money in the world.
