With all the tragic news pouring out of Japan, it's been easy to overlook one of the most important things going on in the United States - the Wisconsin Republican's war on working people. I'm not going to fill you in on the latest news (I recommend Daily Kos' coverage for that), but I do want to talk about one delicious little tidbit.

Wisconsin State Sen. Randy Hopper (above), a close Republican ally of Gov. Scott Walker, is among the eight senators that activists will try to recall for supporting the infamous "budget repair bill" to weaken public sector unions. So this weekend, some protesters marched to his house — yikes! — to have a chat. But his wife answered the door and told the protesters that Hopper lives with his 25-year-old girlfriend now, and a divorce is underway.
Not surprisingly, his wife said she would join Team Recall and sign the petition. The family's maid, apparently, had already signed it.
Oh, and btw - the 25 year-old girlfriend is apparently a ... wait for it ... LOBBYIST. I know ... never saw that one coming, did ya??
