These Shingles are really kicking my butt. What started out as a golf ball-size patch on my left side has turned into a large band of blisters running from my belly button to my spine. It's gross and hurts like hell.
Spoke to the doctor yesterday and he prescribed an anti-viral, which I began taking. I have an appointment with him later today, at which time painkillers will be demanded.

Feel better soon :-(
I wondered how you were doing. I'm so sorry you have Shingles! It's awful! Yes, pain killers for sure! Absolutely!
hangeth in there.
Some study said meditation works as well as painkillers... I think the urge to punch the researchers momentarily distracts one from the pain.

Oh my dear ! My husband had shingles and he was prescribed morphin. Do you think you can have some in the US ? Well I hope the antivirals work fast and wish you'll be better soon ! Keep courageous ! XOXOXO J. Seb from Paris
I would recommend a warm bath with Aveno oatmeal. Aveno is mostly organic but it is very soothing to the skin.
It is a palliative but anything to ease you until you are able to get meds.
Sorry you feel so poorly sweetie.

They are painful.
Mine covered the right side of my face, so I was incognito for about a month!
The anti-virals help, as does Lysine and Zinc which you can get at any drug store OTC.
Feel better, and use lotions to keep the scarring down, because they can leave scars like chicken pox.
XOXOXOXOXO
shingles are the devils way of punishing wonderful people.
i hope you are feeling better soon!
