Every year Ringling Bros. marches their elephants through the Queens-Midtown tunnel and across Manhattan to Madison Square Garden to publicize the circus' annual appearance here. They did it again on Monday night.
I've always wanted to see this in person, but I never hear about it until after it's already happened. And I also always wonder how much the toll is for an elephant to go through the tunnel.

In a few weeks, the elephants will be here hanging out at Lexington Market among the drug dealers. Elephants do not belong in tunnels, parking lots, or in the circus. Nor the zoo. Bah.

I agree with theminx. Circuses are cruel. But elephants are awesome!
