"Look Mommy, Furniture For The Homeless People!"

As part of a promotional stunt, IKEA has furnished some high-traffic Metro stations in Paris for two weeks.  Looks pretty nice, right?

I just can't imagine how disgusting this furniture would become after only hours on a subway platform in New York City ... {{{shudders}}}  But you can bet there would be plenty of well-rested and happy homeless people.

from what i understand, paris is even nastier than new york... my bro-in-law said he saw random people copping a squat and shitting on the street in gay ol' paree. i think the only city they won't get torn up is japan, which is why ikea invested in whole train lines there, LOL. i guess they figure if they have to toss a few sofas after paris, oh well. :))

Well, the good news is that their furniture is pretty much disposable, so after a few days it can just be thrown away and replaced!
