America's Next Drag Superstar - Tyra Sanchez

When did she get those boobies?!?

Congratulations to Tyra Sanchez for winning Season 2 of RuPaul's Drag Race last night.  I thought Raven would win, but based on what we saw during the finale it's hard to disagree with the judge's decision.

Did you watch last night?  What did you think of the outcome?

I stopped watching halfway through the season because I thought Tyra was such a BITCH! And, I knew Ru would pick her- that was foreshadowed all along.

And how the hell did that pissy little bitch ever father a child? Turkey baster?

Very dissapointed in this season. Pretty much done with RPDR.

Damn! You were too quick! I haven't watched the finale yet and you've just killed it for me!

You should use more generic headlines and warn that spoilers follow instead of just launching into the result with no care for those who haven't seen it yet! Not happy. Grrrr!!!!!!!!

I thought JuJu summed it up when she said that, of Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent, Tyra was more of an UNT.
Raven had the C.

I'm kinda disappointed Tyra won, but at the same time I'm not. She grew on me as the season progressed. I thought for sure Raven had this in the handbag! But with most reality TV, I guess one must always expect the unexpected.

My only complaint about the Finale was her collapsing on the floor after she had been announced the winner...that was just too over the top for yours truly.

I was very disappointed that Tyra won and also was not surprised as Miss Ginger Grant said you could tell half way through RuPaul had her pick.

This has made two picks that were so off base of what the fans wanted that I really don't think I will watch it next season.

Dave

P.S. I 100% agree with your policy on spoilers, the world can't stop so others can catch us. We are bloggers and we blog CURRENT and breaking news and pop culture!

@david, oh oops ~ i guess i should read all the comments before i throw sidenotes out there, LMAO.

boo boo boo... like miss ginger, it was clear very early on that tyra was going to win, even though i couldn't stand the bitch (still can't). it was the same way in season one, and although i love ru, i hope she considers allowing the judges to vote on who stays and goes in future seasons.

i know that many commenters have more experience in this than me, so help me out here... why is it that the people who's drag shows i'd actually PAY to see (season 1: nina flowers, ongina; season 2: pandora, jujubee) are the bitches who don't win? i would never in life pay to see stank-ass, fish-mouthed tyra ~ as many commented throughout the season, she has very little personality, and i can't imagine what her MC'g would be like.

(sidenote: someone please point neuRODic to the "no spoilers" post, LOL.)

yeah i agree about the judge thing but i wanted JuJubee to win.

Hi David,
Thanks for the response but your policy on spoilers misses the point. The issue is not about revealing informatIi'sabt about warning people before you do rather than just launching into reveals.
Saying "stay off the Internet" is both absurd and selfish. By all means, discuss the outcomes of last night's shows. But if u warn me you're about to reveal info, I can happily skip over that article and continue reading your other great blogs without ruining my upcoming viewing pleasure.

It's about catering to ALL your faithful followers with a simple, painless disclaimer at the start.

I didnt watch the final and most likely will not now. I am not a fan of this biatch and hate the fact that she has won.

And, I agree with Miss G as well. They hve forshadowed Tyra from the get go and its a shame, Raven was by far the best with the best attitude.

And Darling David, you never spoil anything for me! I usually read your recaps before I watch the sho. You help guid me! XXOO

You know, I didn't realize they were foreshadowing Tyra's win until now - but they really were.

Notice how Tyra stopped getting the "villain" edit right after the "Wedding" episode. This was also the episode Ru mentioned during the Reunion Show (she said Tyra's "Pussy was on fire!"). RuPaul obviously made her mind up then.

However, in Tyra's defense, she NEVER had to lip synch for her life - and I think she won more challenges than anyone else. There is definitely talent there ... although not much personality.

XOXOXOXOXO

Despite the outcome, I think the next drag superstar is actually Pandora Boxx. I'd pay good money to see her show.

@David but you have to remember, ru CHOOSES who lip syncs for their life... there were plenty of challenges where tyra should've been in the bottom 2, imho. the dead giveaway was, in the 2nd or 3rd ep, when tyra got her own ru one-liner intro a la bebe ("CAMAROOOOON!") ~ all the girls get funny intros, but the favorites tend to have one, set intro which ru uses constantly.

"TYRA: the OTHER tyra..." yeah, if you compare diva-like antics and general TYRAnnasaurus attitudes.

I also quit watching. I stopped after they eliminated Pandora. It was pretty obvious to me then that they (RP) doesn't really care about talent or "star quality" which both Pandora and Nina Flowers had in abundance.

Tyra is pretty and that's pretty much it. Ditto for Bebe Zahaha last year. She was pretty but Nina had way more presence.

Not sure I'll bother watching next year.

I wasn't a fan of Tyra but week after week I felt she one of the best in the competitions. My favorite move was when she took down the rack of clothes.

I think it's kinda bitchy to accuse Ru of picking Tyra so early in the season. I think the big winning move was when Tyra left the stage and went up to the judge's table while lipsyncing for her life.

My faves were Raven and Pandora.

I still think Jessica Wild was robbed :( I expected to see her in the final 3. And not Tyra... The "other" Tyra.
And Raven wasn't very likable for me, but she got me clapping when she wrote the message on the mirror. :D
Juju was great but wasn't as polished as they wanted the winner to be. I don't know if it's appropriate to say, but Juju's drag in the end became a bit too trashy than glam in my opinion.

Bummer I didn't watch. Will have to watch later. Congrats to Tyra. Those are some big ones. Wow!

He wasn't a very big guy to begin with and then to put all that, jeez must be some tight skin wrapped around those tata's
O.k. I arrived late to the season, and was shocked to see the talent to chose from.
Crow,JewJewB,and Tyranosuarus were all we had to choose from?
These are the very best drag queens in the Nation?
Good Lawd

BTW - I found out today that the boobies Tyra had were actually a silicon "chest plate" you can buy online.

Since I don't get Logo on my cable plan here in Beaver Pond, I didn't mind knowing ahead of time who was going to win when I watched it online.

I don't think there was one time during the season when I liked anything Tyra did. And when the one judge commented that Tyra was the most intelligent of the three... well the others should sue for slander.

I thought Raven could win, but Tyra stayed consistent throughout the show

Mistress Maddie said...

Tyra is pretty nut thats about it! I wanted Raven to win damn it! And I don't know where she got them boobies....maybe from Gail! I'll watch next time also and follow the on-line voting....gotta make sure my blogger friend Artemis gets on this time!

I knew weeks ago Tyra was gonna win, despite the fact that she has NO charisma, uniqueness, nerve, or talent.

I was rooting for Tatiana in the beginning, then for Jujubee. She really would be the best, funniest drag superstar.
