Entertainment Weekly proclaimed Mary J. Blige's performance of Hard Times Come Again No More as the best number of the Hope For Haiti Now benefit, and I heartily co-sign. Mary J. managed to take a Civil War era song (it was written in 1854) and make it sound like her own. DIVA.
Side Note: I'd like to extend the following gesture to the not-even-trying-to-hide-it heartless racists at Fox News for not airing Hope for Haiti Now ...
The following networks aired the telethon, thereby donating their resources and losing ad revenue (partial list): ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX Network (non news), CNN, MSNBC, BET, The CW, HBO, MTV, VH1, CMT, PBS, TNT, Showtime, Comedy Central, Bravo, E! Entertainment, National Geographic Channel, Oxygen, G4, Current TV, Fuse, MLB Network, SoapNet, Style, Discovery Health, CNN en Español and EVEN FRIGGIN' HBO Latino!!!. Fox News did not. Disgusting.

Love this song...but also really liked Wyclef Jean's Haitian song too....glad he has cleaned up his charity problems. Fox news is so unabashedly racist that nothing they do surprises me any longer.
Noting there is action now on getting help to animals affected by the disaster....zoo, farm, and domestic.
One more thing....though Larry King should have gotten at least an honorable mention on "suspenders"....:)
I agree. It was beautiful.
That was amazing. Go Mary J!
What's ClusterFox's problem? I wonder if they'll show the State of the Union speech Wednesday night? XOXO
Mary J did a lovely job.
