I know I said no more posting today - but I had to post a picture of Ri-Ri and THE HAT. Most people will disagree, but I love it.

I say it takes a hell of a woman to pull off a hat like that. More power to her.
I love the hat. I think it's awesome and anyone who criticizes it doesn't understand that the whole function of hats to be as big and as bold as possible.
I'm reminded of a scene from '9-to-5,' where Lily Tomlin is showing new hire Jane Fonda around the office.
She takes a look at the head-wear that Jane's character thinks is 'office girl' and says:
"Well have to find a special locker for that hat."
She totally rocked it. She looked fantastic- and she has had a few serious fashion mishaps recently (NAACP - just to name one). So I was super happy to see her looking so elegant- she has a Marian Anderson look- very retro. Go Queen, Go!
If I were not a wan white girl, I would so wear that outfit.
ok, I DO love The Hat...adn The Hat HAS to be capitalized!! But come on...I know it was cold out...whateverrrrrrr, she SUCKED!!! I love me some Areatha, I really do, but girlfriend sounded BAD. Beyonce she aint...sorry Tranny.
show some R.E.S.P.E.C.T!!!
the thing is... whether you like The Hat or not, its effing ARETHA ~ divas can do no wrong, everyone knows that! =))
I HATED the hat. In the sun, the crystals looked like LEDs, blinking as she moved around. Not sure I would have liked it better without the glitz though.
loved the hat and glad you are alive. way to be strong
I found the hat to be interesting.
Mame-I'm with you. I loovvvveeessss me a good hat!
Only the great ARETHA could pull that one off. I love it!
The hat made me think I was at church on Easter Sunday.
I actually loved the hat. You have to have a certain degree of fabulosity to pull that off and Ms. Franklin has fabulosity up ying-yang.
I loved it, too! It fits her.
