Madonna wore Luis Vuitton to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala last night - making sure everyone noticed her in the vast sea of bold-faced names. The Costume Institute Gala is run by Vogue's Anna Wintour, and it was the inspiration for the big party scene in The Devil Wears Prada. Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep and inspired by Anna Wintour) can't remember all of her guests, so her assistants stand behind her and whisper names in her ear as people approach.
Anywhore, I don't blame Madonna for wearing that outfit - she could care less what others think (as long as they continue to think about her). Madonna is an international megastar, she's extremely wealthy, and she's banging Jesus Luz...
Why should she care? If it was ME, I would have rolled into that party wearing nothing but a smile and The Baby Jesus.

it IS ugly...and while I kind of like Madonna for her big balls, she so needs to give it a rest. it's like she has to have every eye on her or she gets mad and throws a hissy fit.

the louis outfit w/ the marc jacobs bunny ears... tmth. the dress alone is actually cute (project rungay has great pics of the dresses worn to the gala alongside pics of them on the runway/print ads) but madonna ~ as per usual ~ over-styled her shit.
that said, most EVERYONE (incl anna wintour) looked really fucking blah @ the gala... i was majorly disappointed. the only two i was really crazy about were two bitches i don't like: ashley olsen (i think) in that white dress w/ the deep cut in the back, and elizabeth hurley in that hot ass elie saab dress.
