I watched the concert too in hi def, and was amazed at how good she looks at 65. Sure, she has a great makeup artist, but man...
The delivery man who presented Barbra Streisand with the yellow roses in the train station sequence in "Funny Girl" was played by New York actor Robert Christian. For some reason which will forever remain a mystery the few lines he spoke were dubbed by someone else. Bob passed away in 1983.
I love going to Side Tracks in Chicago where the play the songs from the movie and everyone sings along. And when it comes to the part where she see the ferry, and the "invisible lightbulb" goes off as she realizes she should catch the ferry, they freeze the tape momentarily and the entire crowd screams at the screen :"Run, Barbra! Run!" CLASSIC!
Flipping between "Funny Girl" and a Babs concert on TV? That's really and truly gay. :-)
