Do spammers REALLY think comment readers are going to go to their site and buy something? I really don't understand spammers. At all.

That's what is so bizarre about this whole situation - HE NEVER POSTS A LINK OR MENTIONS A SITE!! I would understand if it was a spambot trying to insert links to porn in blog comments ... but there is never a link to anything.
Also, he makes 3-4 attempts per week, and I've never approved any of his comments.
Furthermore, he ONLY attempts to comment on that one particular birdbath post from this past summer.
Truly weird...
