Yes, last night was the Project Runway Season 6 finale - and, as expected, Meana Irina won. zzzzzz zzzzzzz zzzzz zzzzzzzzz zzzzzz Sorry, I just fell asleep at my keyboard. It must be all the cold medicine I'm taking right now.
Here's my proposal: let's pretend horrible Season 6 never happened. Season 6 will be like the drug-addict, incarcerated cousin your family won't mention at Thanksgiving. It's like he never existed.
Did anyone else watch? Does anyone even care at this point??...

I have to admit, i did like Irina's fashions down the runway. However, I wanted Althea to win. She just seemed like a kinder soul.
Oh well...Bring on season 7!
I will treat it like that episode of Dallas.
It was all a dream, and Bobby's still alive!
I watched the last 20 minutes or so, just to verify that Irina won.
I thought they all did a good job and the criticisms of each were pretty valid. Carol Hannah had some beautiful stuff, but no theme at all.
Anyway, it has been completely predictable for at least the last 6 or 7 episodes which leads to dullness. The only semi-tense subplot was to see if Christopher was going to be able to stop his fiery descent and get back on top. But no...it wasn't to be.
Oh, and the drama of the shiny pants. Just how long could Logan pull them out of the closet to eke out a non-auf? Not long enough it turns out.
I stopped watching/caring half-way through the season.
Tried to watch, but fell asleep...(thank goodness for TeeVee sleep timers).
I suppose she was the best of the designers and they were not there to be nice...but I just could not get past her attitude.....
Liked Bob's comment.....good one!
LB anon
I watched it from the computer. Was mildly interesting to see how they managed to fake all the designers into the audience. That was seriously good effects. False, fake, a lie but when does truth ever get in the way of this crew?
Black should be banned as a color choice - forever! Irina's collection looked like a series of black holes coming down the runway. Who could tell if they deserved to win?
I think the fact that Irina won was a waste of a season. Unfortunately, her collection was the only one closest to an actual Bryant Park showing and thus according to the rules, makes her the defacto winner.
IMO, Althea should've won on the strength of her navy suit and the knit oversized M-65 jacket.
I have to say - I was at the show in the big tent, and Irina's collection (which we knew only as Collection #3) clearly was more impressive than the other two. Hands down.
And I thought it was RIDICULOUS that they inserted those fake introductions/appearances (and fake cheering) into the final episode.
XOXOXOXOXOXO
Your family must nothing like mine because holiday gatherings are all about discussing who's been in jail and who currently is.
I watched and pretty muched fast forwarded through much of the finale. It was so boring. At the eand I really didn't care who won.
Once the mildly interesting designers were kicked off, leaving the completely UN-interesting designers, I found I just didn't have the commitment to be sure I was home and watching at 10pm on Thurs nights. I did watch the finale and was equally bored and disappointed with the show and the "fashions".
I watched, God forbid, hoping there would be something of interest that would happen aside from Carol Hannah booting into the toilet. On my TV, Irina's designs disappeared, except for the helmets that looked like rejects from Equus [with the naked Hairy Potter]. Ugh!
At first I liked Irina's stuff, but by halfway through her stuff my eyes were glazing over. By then they all looked pretty much the same to me, even if they were impressive as individual pieces.
I liked Althea's stuff most, which initially was not what I thought would happen.
no and no. :D
