Oh Ciprofloxacin, How I Love Thee

Wow - Cipro is NO JOKE. After just 5 doses (out of 14) of the antibiotic, I am feeling 90% better, and the green gunkies have left the building.

I am back at work today, after a day spent on the couch with Dusty Winehouse. I just wish I could spend every day watching Maury, sipping tea, and playing with the cats. Even sick, it beats the hell outta working...

I'm glad you're feeling better. I wish staying home paid as well as going to work!

If I lived in NYC I'd come over and mug you for your Cipro.... I have a UTI and we have to wait for some test to percolate but DAMN IT I know these symptoms and I want my DRUGS NOW! Glad you are feeling better (she said with gritted teeth). I hope someone leaps over the table and slaps Marcel around on Top Chef Reunion tonight... I'll feel better.

Glad you are feeling better. Meds can work wonders sometimes, of course, that would require me to actually have a doctor :o)

Glad you're better! Now be a good patient and FINISH the whole week's course of 14; too many people don't finish the prescribed course, and that's how we get drug-resistant bugs. As for work vs. home, maybe you could become a cat sitter?

I can't take Cipro... I'm allergic to PC... but I'm thrilled it worked fo you! And ditto the advice: finish it!

You are right Cip works great, as long as you eat first so it does not put holes in your stomach. Be very sure to finish the entire protocol or the next time you may just find that the bug is resistant, and the choices after Cip pills are not particularly user friendly, such as the IV Cip, which I discovered with a tissue infection fron radiation and surgical incisions not getting along, likes to eat the lining of veins and requires a port, pic or min-line to keep your veins from collapsing. I really hate needles and having to have a long thing threaded up my arm, elbow to arm pit, guided by ultra sound on a screen in front of my face for over 10 min was not something I would recomend setting your self up for.Be well! And look on the bright side, at least you made some one jealous, always a plus.
