Molly Rinwald turns 41 today - but she will always be the 16-year-old Samantha Baker from Sixteen Candles to me.
In my opinion, Sixteen Candles was pretty much the perfect movie - and Jake Ryan was pretty much the perfect guy. Don't you agree?
Molly is currently pregnant with twins - and is due to give birth to a boy and a girl in August. She and her husband already have a daughter.

I saw Molly last year in the touring company of Sweet Charity and she was terrific.
Whatever happened to Michael Schoeffling? He was one of my college crushes!Dayum that boy was cute. I heard he left acting and became a carpenter or something. While that image is fascinating, what a waste that no one caught it on film!
